PAMOJA –
together for Kenya’s children e.V.
Mahatma Gandhi
We have made this our mission and therefore the following also applies to us:
“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
Desmond Tutu
At our children’s home, we welcome young people who have had little chance of a protected upbringing or access to education. Here, they find a secure place to live where they receive food, healthcare and loving care.
We support them until they finish school, can provide for themselves and found a place to live. This also includes assistance in finding employment, accessing vocational training or pursuing higher education.
These are essential conditions for the children to develop their personalities and become full members of the Kenyan society – living in peace, community and acceptance, while staying connected to their traditions, culture and Kenyan values.
Our vision is that these children will become important contributors for a self-reliant, confident and independent Kenya.
With our association, in which all members work voluntarily, we aim to provide the children’s home with a stable financial foundation to enable the admission and care of children. For this purpose, we collect donations. We are committed to it and we appreciate any help. Each donation helps Pamoja nurture, protect and guide children toward a life full of opportunities.
The name “Pamoja Machiuka” means “Rising Together” – and we can only do this with your help!
Learn more about us – and who knows perhaps you will also become part of our community supporting Pamoja Machiuka.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Donate and get involved –
together for Kenya’s children
Every contribution, big or small, helps our association support the Pamoja children’s home and give disadvantaged children a future. Your donation goes directly to the project on site and makes a real difference.
Thank you for your support!
Reports from Kenya
current news
To keep you well informed about what is happening at our children’s home and how the children are doing, we have created a dedicated section on our new website. Here you will find reports from Gitti Apholt during or after her visits to Kenya, as well as news about the children, new admissions, school and vocational pathways, updates on the development of our association and current photos.
In recent years, we have shared this information as a newsletter with our members and sponsors. From now on, you will be notified by email and can then follow a link to our homepage, where you can take your time to explore everything at your own pace.
