Waldorf students from Berlin move their internship to Kenya

Five students and their teacher traveled from Berlin to Kenya. A three-week adventure and an internship at the children’s home “Pamoja Machiuka” as well as at the Waldorf School in Nanyuki. Two girls and three boys rotated between these locations. The cottage of the Herne children’s home served as their accommodation. They took the children to school, picked them up, engaged with them, helped with homework and played volleyball on the field. The volleyball net was a gift for the children.

They did crafts and played games. Our children had a lot of fun and still rave about the students today. Ann, Lucy and Elisabeth received a lot of support from them; they also helped in the kitchen and with housework. The lively exchange between different cultures led to many communal encounters and sparked curiosity about each another. The teacher accompanied the successful project.
